Conferences

We can provide your conference or exhibition with a carefully tailored and wildly entertaining attraction.

Case Study One:  Bugblatter.com approached Cybernetic Productions to assist them in designing, creating and running an innovative draw to their stand at the TMA conference in Brighton in October, 2000.  We worked with them to develop a custom Quake III Arena attraction, which included four workstations, a competition, a video display solutions and a custom map incorporating their logo.  At the conference our staff ran the event.

The picture shows the look of the stand.  At any one time four people were playing in the competition while two large plasma screens were relaying the action to the waiting crowd.  The competitors were playing in a custom-designed level incorporating the Bugblatter.com logo and colour scheme.  The attraction was a great success, moving hundreds of people through the competition, assisting in the capture of attendee names and details, and providing a draw to keep people on the stand where Bugblatter.com staff would speak to them.

IBM Netfinity stand at Network and Telecom's '99Case Study Two:  The picture to the right shows a ten position set up on IBM's Personal System Group stand at the Telecom's and Network '99 conference at the National Exhibition Centre.

IBM was looking for an attraction to the stand which would showcase the power of their Netfinity servers.  What better for an IT audience than Quake?  We provided our custom Quake II Capture the Flag  environment which ran on Netfinity clients and was powered by a Netfinity M50 server.  Not only did we provide the attraction, but we supplied the technical staff to install the equipment and expert players to play along with and guide the guest players.

Netfinity logo inserted into the game mapOur Quake II environment provided in-game advertising slots so that the Netfinity logo was prominently displayed within the game.  See photo to the left.  Each machine was suppied with speakers so that the stand attracted a lot of attention, which was then held as people stood mesmerized by the on-screen action.

Over three days at the NEC 300 people sat down and played.  A competitive edge was added by offering each player of the winning team an IBM Workpad palm PC.  Jason Harris, Abdul Mufhana, Jim Grater and Adrian Tannock proved themselves to be the best Capture the Flag team at the conference!
