Corporate Marketing:  Advertising embedded into video games is an emerging marketing communications channel. IBM's Netfinity branding was inserted into a specially built Quake II map that was used for a promotion based around the M50 server launch.  The press were attracted by the opportunity to play Quake II in a state-of-the-art environment and visitors to a high-technology stand at the NEC were able to play on the map on a LAN.  While playing the game they saw on their computer screens the Netfinity branding on virtual billboards.  IBM branding built into a game engine

 

Corporate Communications - Paul regularly runs sessions introducing consultants and marketing executives to the reality of on-line gaming combined with voice over IP technology.  One tool he uses is Marine Doom, the USMC fire-team tactical simulator.  In the video you will see four consultants from a prestigious global consultancy experiencing Marine Doom and the perils of friendly fire.
